The JACK® JK-C5S-5-M04/435/SD is an advanced computerized 2-needle, 5-thread industrial overlock sewing machine with safety stitch and suction, designed for fast and efficient professional garment production.
The C5S combines a high-speed Direct Drive system with intelligent fabric detection, photocell-controlled automation, automatic presser foot lifting, automatic thread cutting, short-thread technology, and selectable sewing modes. The machine can operate in manual, semi-automatic, or automatic mode, allowing the operator to adapt the machine to different production requirements.
With sewing speeds up to 7,000 stitches per minute and ultra-fast electronic start and stop response, the C5S is engineered to increase productivity while reducing unnecessary operator movements.
3 Sewing Modes
The JACK® C5S provides three operating modes that can be selected according to the production process:
- Manual Mode: Provides traditional operator-controlled sewing.
- Semi-Automatic Mode: Combines operator control with selected automatic functions.
- Automatic Mode: Uses the machine's electronic controls and photocells to automate multiple sewing operations.
L / M / H Fabric Selector
PATENTED LIGHT / MEDIUM / HEAVY FABRIC ADJUSTMENT
Using the integrated selector lever, the inclination of the feed dog can be adjusted according to the type of material being sewn:
- L — Light Fabrics
- M — Medium Fabrics
- H — Heavy Fabrics
This system allows the feeding characteristics of the machine to be adapted to different fabric weights and production requirements.
Automatic Fabric Thickness Sensor
The integrated fabric thickness sensor automatically detects changes in material thickness. When the machine encounters a raised seam or thicker section, the control system increases motor torque to help the machine maintain sewing performance across the change in material height.
This feature is especially useful in production environments where the machine must repeatedly cross seams, folded sections, or areas with changing fabric thickness.
Photocell-Controlled Automation
Integrated photocells detect the material and work together with the machine's automatic functions. This allows the C5S to automate selected sewing operations, reducing repetitive operator movements and helping improve production efficiency.
Short Thread Cutting
The automatic electric cutting system is controlled by photocells and is designed to produce a short remaining thread after trimming. The specified cutting configuration provides approximately 5 mm at the rear and 10 mm at the front, helping reduce the amount of manual thread trimming required after sewing.
Voice Guide
The integrated Voice Guide assists the operator with machine functions and operating conditions. When an error occurs, the machine can provide an alert, and the VOICE function can provide guidance to help identify the issue and assist with basic troubleshooting.
The control system also provides a convenient function for returning machine parameters to their initial settings.
Ultra-Fast Start & Stop
The computerized Direct Drive system provides rapid start and stop response. According to the specified configuration, response time is reduced by approximately 40–50% compared with conventional computerized systems. Combined with sewing speeds up to 7,000 SPM, this system is designed to improve overall production efficiency.

The C5S can support optional Industry 4.0 connectivity. With the appropriate integrated Wi-Fi module and JACK® gateway system, compatible production environments can manage machine parameters and monitor productivity through the applicable system.
Industry 4.0 connectivity and JACK® gateway are optional and are not included unless specifically stated in the product configuration. One compatible gateway can support up to 50 machines according to the system configuration.
